The project was started in 05/03/1995 with the noble idea of taking medicare to the poor people at their door steps. As there are many poor villagers who cannot come all the way to the base hospital for taking treatment, a van with a Medical Officer, a staff nurse and a paramedical staff along with requisite medicines treat them at a vantage point in the villages every day and dispensed the medicines free of cost on the spot. Needy patients who require further treatment are referred to the base hospital and treated with free investigation, medical and surgical procedures wherever necessary at base hospital.Fifteen villages in two different routes are covered

Project Status:

On-going project covering villages around Tambaram currently. As and when more funds are received the scheme is proposed to be extended upto 110 villages around Tambaram.
