• Recognised as Regional Blood Transfusion Centre by Goverment of Tamil Nadu and Transfusion council of India to conduct Voluntary blood donation camps in and around Tambaram

• Utilising only health voluntary blood donors
• Screening for infectious disease by employing
  • Elisa tests(HIV 1&2 antibody,Hbs Ag,Anti HCV)
  • Biochemistry tests(ALT)
  • Haemotology tests(MP&MF)
  • Reagin test(VDRL rotator)

Blood Bank is equipped with Bacteriological hood, Autoclave, Refrigerated centrifuge, Elisa reader, Deep freezer, Blood Collection Monitor, Tube Sealer, Plasma seperator, Incubator, Microscope Binocular, Semi auto analyser, VDRL rotator, Automatic Blood Gas Analyser, Blood cell counter, Laminor flow hood,Blood transfusion flowtherm, Fast therm and agitator.
